Why should I hire a photojournalist to shoot my
wedding?
While many wedding photographers claim to shoot in a photojournalistic
style, Issa Sharp is actually a working photojournalist with years of experience.
Since photojournalism is basically telling a story in pictures, Issa's career
has honed her skill in quickly assessing & capturing the vital moments
of an event.
Do you shoot black & white and color film?
Yes, and sometimes infrared film (a very dreamy, grainy
B&W film). In our meeting we'll look at examples and discuss your preferences.
How many pictures do you take at each wedding?
We average about 800-1000 exposures in 7 hours. You will
receive at least 600 4x6 prints.
DO YOU SHOOT DIGITALLY?
Yes, we offer a choice of digital and/or film coverage and often provide a combination of both.
DO YOU BRING AN ASSISTANT?
Yes. Our assistants are trained photojournalists who also
have experience shooting weddings.
ARE POSED PORTRAITS AVAILABLE?
Of course. Planning is essential however ,so that we minimize
the time taken away from documenting the event. We like to meet with you to
work out a concise list of portraits. Often, we arrive at a wedding early to
take many of the group portraits ahead of time. We also preview the location
to help determine where to take the portraits.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes. We are available to travel worldwide! There is no
additional charge for travel to locations within 50 miles of the photographers
home base. For weddings requiring travel days there is a standard per diem
and expenses (lodging, car rental) for the photographer & her assistant.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU BRING TO A WEDDING?
We always bring at least 3 35mm cameras,several lenses,
batteries & flash equipment. We have also been known to bring toy cameras
upon request for special effects and a dedicated camera for infrared film if
desired. Medium format is also available upon request.
DO YOU REQUIRE A MEAL?
Yes, please. This is hard work and we truly appreciate
your thoughtfulness in providing us with something to eat.

upon in an emergency.
